McKie Equine Center is located in the small town of Altoona, FL nestled at  the end of Boy's Ranch Rd. The Ocala National Forest borders our property  making it convenient to access all the trails.  Many boarders work their  horses in one of the arenas and then go for a nice hack in the forest.
The McKie's live on property providing constant
care for your horse.  We  pride ourselves in the
care of your horse as if it were our own and cater
to most requests. There is a very friendly but
professional atmosphere at the barn.  If you like
company on your trail rides our boarders will often
ride together both locally or will trailer off to
other trail heads. The social life at the barn
encourages you to visit and exercise your horse
more, and that is always a plus!

The advantage in boarding at a barn with trainers is help is just a request  away and we can instantly start  correcting any problems you or your horse  are having, to keep you both on top form.
We understand that boarders enjoy coming to the barn to visit with their  horses after a long day at work. The barn yard is never closed allowing you  to put away all your troubles and enjoy quality time with your  equine  partner.
